Mother's Day gift!!!
Have I ever mentioned that my husband is the sweetest man on the planet?! He is utterly amazing! He decided to give me my mother's day present early and it was this nursing nightgown and robe that I wanted for the hospital. (For after the baby is born so I don't have to have my butt exposed for all the world to see). Then he told me that he had a mother's day surprise for me. Surprises for me are so much fun to try to guess, and I tried to guess. I guessed right an hour before the appointed time. Anyway, David set an appointment for me at Sunlight Spa for an hour long prenatal massage....It was HEAVEN. The spa was nice and relaxing, citrus water, dark chocolate, comfy robe and massag-ey slippers. While filling out paperwork I sat with my feet in a warm water soak complete with scented oil and rose petals. The young lady who did my massage was AMAZING!! I dozed off more times than I care to count and I was extremely sad to see it end. I could have laid there forever...or at least until the urge to relieve my bladder became too much. Then, David informed me that there was more. He took me to the Power and Light district (the new entertainment district in KC for those of you who don't know) and he had picked out a salon to do a pedicure...Which is hilarious because on the way to visit David's mom yesterday I was describing how badly my toes needed to be done...clipped and painted that is. I told David that he'd have to help me since I couldn't reach...and then proceeded to twist myself into some god-awful position in which I could reach, but would probably have to be surgically removed from. Anyway, so the pedicure was awesome, with the exception of the weird massage chair...it massaged in places I didn't know they were supposed to massage! I let Solomon choose between two colors and he picked a lovely shade of pink... So now I'm very relaxed and have pretty pink toenails. I could get addicted to pedicures...all it took was once! I informed David that he could surprise me like that ANYTIME!!! Of course I expressed my gratitude over his thoughfulness. He really is the sweetest guy ever. When we got home, he cooked dinner. Sigh. I am one lucky gal! If I think about it I'll snap a picture of my pretty toes and post it on here. For now though, I'm off to bed to sleep the sleep of one pampered mama.
