Book review- The Noticer

So, I read the book The Noticer by Andy Andrews. I found it to be an easy read, and fairly entertaining, though I'm sure that entertaining was not the author's goal with this book. It was chock full of wisdom that seemed taken from other people's books. For instance, during a conversation about love, one of the characters is told that people hear love in different languages...five of them to be exact, then he is given a description of those love languages...sounds like a book that I had to read for premarital counseling...and while I believe whole heartedly in the five love languages I felt that it was unoriginal to pilfer wisdom from someone elses writings and use it in your own book...Just my measly opinion. The light at the end of the tunnel with this pilfering...we'll call it quoting...is that you get the reader's digest version of the concept. For example, what took my husband and I about a month to read through together, I got the basics of in just a few pages. So, for the condensed versions of several truths, this is a great book. I especially liked the ending, and finally figuring out what was in that darned suitcase.
