Book Review- Invasion by Jon S Lewis

Invasion was three hundred and nineteen pages of Christian science fiction. It was geared, I felt, more towards the young adult set and in that vein it is fast paced. It offers new thrills that you likely won’t find within the Christian fiction set. The first in the C.H.A.O.S. Trilogy it introduces us to young Colt McCallister, a sixteen year old boy who has just lost his parents. In the midst of grieving over the loss of his parents he discovers that their deaths may not be an accident and this sends him on a journey for justice, complete with twists and turns, new friendships and ultimately leaves him wondering who can really be trusted. Along the way he finds out that things are not always what they seem and he learns that age is not nearly as important as using your head. As a mom in her late 20’s this book was not really my cup of tea, however it was well written, fantastical and would be a GREAT read for young adults looking for wholesome reading material. Overall, Invasion gets an A in my book, just the right mix of science fiction, a little romance and a lot of mystery!
