Introductions

Hello all, please be forwarned that this is my first time blogging...on blogspot that is. I am not new to blogging on myspace, in fact I do rather a lot of it. But I figure that this is more accessible to those who don't have myspace. So, let me introduce myself; I am the female half of the David Beauchamp family, otherwise known as Erin (honey or mom to David and our son Solomon). So there you have the family dynamic. I'm married to David and we have an almost 15 month old little boy named Solomon. We are expecting again and are due July 6th. I stay at home with Solomon and our two sugar gliders: Jazzy and Perriet and our dog Saxon. David does not stay home...and if I were to write out all that my husband does in a week my fingers just might fall off...just kidding honey! He is very busy, but he likes to be busy. Currently he works full time as a research assistant for two doctors at UMKC. He also teaches art to kindergarten thru 2nd grade (his almost dream job) and he works in the financial industry part time through Primerica. In addition to all the working he does so graciously so I can stay home he is in school full time working on his Master's specifically he will have a Master of Divinity in Christian Education...Whew!!!! Ready for a nap yet? In any case we both stay pretty busy. Him with work and us and church and me with home and child and church, not to mention our hobbies. David is a very talented artist, his favorite medium is pastels on canvas...though he has his bachelors in studio art with an emphasis in ceramics (tell me how does a guy with an art degree end up working in science and finance?) He also enjoys sketching and the occasional turn around the living room...er...dance floor with me. He loves to play video games...when ...if he gets the time and he is a REALLY GOOD cook!!! (which might explain all the weight I gained when I was pregnant with Solomon) We are both huge Chiefs fans...yeah yeah we know, this year they sucked, but that's ok, we're faithful to the bitter end and we beat our rivals the Raiders in Oakland this weekend. David's favorite player is James Saxon, a former running back and pretty much every other position as well as former running back coach for the Chiefs. Now Mr Saxon coaches for the Dolphins his rookie team. My favorite player is Tamba Hali, who plays defensive end. I love dancing in all of it's forms, ballet, jazz, lyrical, ballroom and bellydance, my newest passion being bellydance. I used to teach Ballroom: Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Pushpull/Hustle, Cha Cha, Rumba, Merengue, Salsa and Mambo. Yes, I can do all of them on some level. I also sing and write lyrics and poetry, play a little piano (like two scales) scrapbook, read, embroider and crochet. And I LOVE to bake...currently my favorite thing to bake is pies, there is something old fashioned about pies that I just adore. Solomon's hobbies include covering the living room floor with toys, drumming on anything with anything, reading, taking long baths and screaming at the top of his lungs. The new arrivals amuse themselves with making me very tired and nauseous, though I'm sure they will soon graduate to kicking me in the ribs or bladder or what have you. That is the low down on the Beauchamps 3. Tune in for updates!!!
