Ah, the smell of angel food cake, baking in the oven. Might I say that homebaked from scratch items are the best for aromatherapy. Party lite...take a hike. Bath and Body? who? oops, there's the ding. be back in a jiffy...ok, now that the cake's out of the oven, back to what I was saying... oh yes, homebaked goods are the best for aromatherapy. Now, my personal favorite is Chocolate Chip Cookies. But, then I discovered that blueberry muffins were pretty good for stress relief. And then I baked my own cinnamon swirl bread...Heaven...minus the kneading part of it. That was a bit of anger management, but it was effective, I felt thoroughly cleansed. Then I ventured out into the unknown of pies, glorious pies. Pecan, Apple, dutch apple...can't you just smell the apple with the vanilla ice cream melting on the side? oh yes, there is just no way to bottle that kind of smell. And now, I've discovered Angel Food Cake. Not an easy undertaking...not for the faint of heart. It's pretty labor intensive especially the first time around. But the smell? No wonder they call it Angel Food! It smells just like what I used to imagine clouds tasted like! Now later tonight we'll find out if it tastes as good as it smells. I was having a pretty stressful week....with a migraine yesterday and my one year old screaming at me for most of that...not helping in mommy's mission to get rid of the migraine...but today...I baked my first angel food cake...for my aunts 90th birthday party...and I hope it turns out great. Now, to straighten my hair...
