I hate Flash!

So on a whim David and I entered a "contest" to "win" a free session and 8x10 at Flash Photography. Lo and behold we "won"! Yeah, us! We went and had pictures taken of us as a family of David and Solly, of Me and Solly, of Solly by himself and in some of the pictures we had exposed baby belly. The problem we ran into, we couldn't pick just one that we liked for our free 8x10. So what did we do? Instead of playing Rock, paper, scissors, like mature adults, we took advantage of their Valentine's day special (25% off of packages) and bought their lowliest and cheapest one. It costs 99 before the discount and was basically 75 after. Which gave us the freedom to choose 6 poses including our complimentary 8x10, an 8x10, 2-5x7's. 4-4x5's and 8 wallets...kind of measley for a hundred bucks! But we got 6 poses. And narrowing it down was no easy decision. We decided to do one 8x10 of the family, one 8x10 of Solly alone, one 5x7 of David and Solly, one 5x7 of me and Solly, the 4x5's of Solly in one pose and the wallets in another. It was a challenge picking our favorites of Solomon, however, we managed after much deliberation to get the narrowing accomplished and sometime this week we will be picking up our pictures, at which time I will ask my mother to scan them and email them to me so that I can go and make copies. I have to say though that the photo session was incredibly entertaining. My little boy was LOVING the camera. In fact, he loved it so much that he didn't want to take pictures with mom and dad, he wanted to take pictures all by himself, and he posed for these pictures. I think even the photographers had fun with him! Following our photo session I was starving, David was hungry and Solly was basking in the light of his newly found admirers, so we went to B.D.'s Mongolian BBQ at which point I was hit on by a very young cook and we all ate a ridiculous amount of really yummy food. I want a small cooking thing like they have at mongolian BBQ's in my kitchen so I can make it myself. It is amazing! and now, I'm off to the tedious work of doing the dishes. Boo!
