nesting, cravings and other random adventures in baby carrying

Wow, it's been a while and I just realized today that we need to go and pick up our pictures from Flash! Thank you faithful blog for reminding me.

So here I sit, on a lazy tuesday morning...er...noon....whatever...and I've had a very tasty breakfast, made by moi, for David and I. French toast...a la Erin. It involves egg, bread, cream, vanilla, sugar and my secret ingredient...I will reveal to no one! Topped with leftover cinnamon roll icing. Oh so yummy and decadent. Seemed almost sinful. David has been begging me to tell him the secret ingredient and I have been refusing to tell unless he could figure it out. Being the smart man that he is, he figured it out...after looking in the fridge. But, he's the only one who will ever know! So don't ask!!!! In any case it was a spectacular start to a lazy day. Solomon has been running around in his Diego pajamas, intermittenly losing his pants and throwing up his arms to yell "touch down!" (in Solly speak this is "Down!"), and getting into stuff. David has been by far the most productive of the three of us, having been working on homework since he woke up...he's oh so dedicated. And then there's me...still in PJ's just kind of bopping around on the internet, seeing what treasures I can find on craigslist and thinking I should really go in and do the breakfast dishes. Alas, I can't seem to get motivated to go and do the dishes, so I sit here, lazing about listening to David's teacher.

Now, I'm not always this lazy, Saturday I was so NOT lazy that I injured myself...ok, not really an injury, just a strain. I hit my nesting stage and hit it HARD, not at all like Solomon, where I just wanted everything to be ready for the baby. This is almost torture it's so compelling. I must have the house spotlessly cleaned! So much so that while I was taking down Christmas decorations I moved the couch and swept and mopped under the couch. Packed several books in preparation of moving, packed most of our stemware, and delegated the cleaning of the dining room to the guys. And then having worn myself completely out proceeded to play Carcassone with David, Anne and Josh while drinking a glass of wine. Did I mention that I managed to get two couches and a loveseat given away to different people and moved out of the house...I had a very productive and busy Saturday, so productive that I could barely move on Sunday. Thankfully though there is Dr. Doty...our chiropractor...we love him.

Now, I will go and figre out what to have for lunch...probably cheerio's because they are quick and easy and tasty. Oh yes, and I've been craving Mcdonald's Hot Fudge Sundaes with extra nuts!!!! YUM!!!!
